This project is a great example of how good digital design is not always about the most arresting imagery and stunning visuals. This report – just under 100 pages of tightly worded prose – was produced to provide a deep understanding to decision-makers on the impacts of the UK’s withdrawal from Europe on the consumer protection landscape.
It needed to be designed in a clear and accessible way that would allow busy readers to dip in and out and be able to recognise immediately which section they were in. We chose a palette of strong, clearly differentiated colours (which we also used to identify the same categories in our coverage on the content hub website and smaller summary guide) and clean, unfussy type and layout.
