We were commissioned to make a series of trailer videos to promote a set of resources produced by Trading Standards Wales to raise awareness of the dangers of undeclared food allergens. We translated the videos into several different languages, including Welsh, Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Kurdish, Turkish and Urdu, so the design of the videos needed to work in all of the different language versions.
The videos include interviews with friends and family members of people who had tragically died after experiencing allergic reactions to food, and it was important to convey the very real human cost of businesses breaking the law. The videos were used to remind businesses of their responsibilities, and to generally raise awareness that food allergies should be taken seriously.
